Hi my name is Toe'umu and I will be going to Wesley Intermediate. I like how you have figured out the missing words in the sentences. I also like your background colour. Maybe next time you could make your sentences in paragraphs so it looks easy to read.
It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.
You've done a super job of filling in the blanks in these sentences. You've read the information thoroughly and been able to put the right information into each blank space. Super!!
Have you seen any bumblebees in your neighbourhood this summer? We have been worried in my country, Canada, that there are fewer bumblebees in our area and that means that fewer flowers will be pollinated and fewer vegetables and grain crops will grow. That's a problem. We count on bumblebees to fertilize our plants so that we can grow enough food.
We're trying to plant more flowers that will attract these bees and we're also passing laws to prevent the use of the chemicals that have been harming the bees. We have to try to solve this problem, don't we?!
I hope you're having some fun on your sunny summer days in Auckland and I hope you're enjoying this Summer Learning Journey program. It's great that you're participating!!!
