Awesome work on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'Scaling New Heights'. Sir Edmund Hillary is such a legend. I am so proud of him for putting New Zealand on the map back in 1953 for being one of the first to climb Mount Everest. I think he must have had an interesting upbringing to have the motivation and bravery to conquer that incredible journey. I would also like to know what his motivation was to climb Mt Everest. Maybe his father was a climber and they had this shared dream in mind. I am not sure, I am just speculating at the moment.
One question I think I would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary is what challenges he faced while training for his expedition?. Also, what challenges he faced while climbing the mountain itself?
