  1. Kia Ora Moonlight,

Thanks for sharing your opinion with us for this question about large families. I really liked the pictures that you included as they reminded me of the benefits of a large family (you have lots of people to spend time with and to support you) and the drawbacks (siblings might try and steal your food)!

I only have one sister, Leigh, who is two years younger than I am and we got along really well when we were younger. We were actually more like best friends than sisters (and still are). I feel very lucky to have her in my life. I do wonder what it would have been like if we had had more siblings, especially, if we had had brothers. I think that it would have really changed our lives. I wonder if things would have been louder...

Do you have many siblings? If so, what is it like at your house over the holidays with everyone at home? Is it chaotic or pretty peaceful? It is very peaceful at my house as I only have one son (Aronui) and a step-son living with us. My step-son is 25 so he's not around very often. When he is, he will often take Aronui to the park and play with him. Lucky Aronui!

I hope that you and your family are all having a lovely break.

All the best for 2018. I wonder what next year will be like...

    Best,
    Rachel :)

  2. Hey Moonlight,

I love the pictures you included in this post, I could already see what this post is about from looking at them, meaning they’re very fitting! I like the way you explained your view on big families and a few reasons why you’d like to be a part of one. I can see you are wary of a power struggle between brothers and sisters, is this based on your experiences with your siblings?

I have three sisters and two brothers and although there are more girls I don’t remember anyone having rule over the house. Sometimes we’d argue about who should have the last ice block in the freezer but in the end the youngest always got dibs! How would it go down in your house?

Just a reminder, there are a few days left to complete as many activities as you can before the programme ends on the 26th of January.

    Toe feiloa’i fo’i,

    Cia.
